Art Gallery // Lindsey Schreiber: Roots and Reverence
ARTIST RECEPTION
Sat, Jan 31, 4pm - 6:30pm
Roots and Reverence reflects my lifelong search for home— through memory, renewed devotion, nearby landscapes, and the feminine energies that have nurtured and sustained me. Each painting is a meditation on belonging as a birthright, claimed or reclaimed. With inherent belonging comes peace, resonance, and self-sovereignty.
The work in this collection evolved from a 100-day project that I committed to early this year. My project was to create one small (6” x 6”) painting on paper every day for 100 days. In this daily practice, guided by curiosity and intuition, I found myself meditating on themes of home, comfort, tradition, and fixed beliefs as well as ambiguity, magic, mysticism, the heretical, and the ways we find and create meaning. I love thinking about how these opposing energies overlap, how what we perceive is a matter of the lens we look through and how that lens, if we are willing, can be fluid.

Artist Reception // Peter Walker: Nature's Turbulence
Join us for the opening reception of Nature’s Turbulence on Saturday, 1/17, from 3–6 pm, an afternoon gathering to experience Peter Walker’s metal print photographs and the stories behind them. Spanning images made between 2018–2025, the exhibit moves between moments of quiet intensity and chosen risk — from cloud-wrapped ridgelines, wildlife, and storm light to kayakers, filmmakers, and figures stepping into moving water and fire. Together, the work reflects on turbulence not as chaos alone, but as a shared force that shapes landscapes and people alike. The reception is an invitation to slow down, connect, and stand at that threshold where stillness meets motion, and the wild world mirrors something equally untamed within us.

Art Gallery // Christopher Schuldt: CHOPPED.
Wildflower Playhouse is pleased to present recent work by Christopher Schuldt. Chopped. is a selection of recent abstract paintings. The work is guided by letting forms arise that speak to the artist through his relationship to everyday life. The process of making the paintings relies foremost on intuition. When the intuitive process fails and doubt grows, these forms; objects, visual perspective, language, history are relied upon to carry the painting forward. Through these paintings, Schuldt attempts to reach a picture that holds potentially contradictory frameworks of understanding the world.
