ARTIST BIO

Michael Vigil was a well established and master printmaker. Throughout his lifetime he taught Fine Art printmaking to Elementary students, University students and professional artists. His range of female subjects and sports related themes landed him a one-man show at Dodger Stadium along with a prestigious show at the Robert Mondavi Winery in California. His style was clearly his own, his painterly glyphs bold use of color and a combination of media. His work is characterized by brightness and illumination covering large spaces of canvas. He always considered his late father Veloy Vigil his greatest and most significant influence.
