John Logan’s “Red” is a Tony award winning biographical play exploring the intense, two-year relationship between renowned abstract expressionist, Mark Rothko and his young assistant Ken. Taking place in the late 1950s the play is a deep and often explosive portrayal of the artistic and personal struggles Rothko faces as he confronts the tension between creative integrity and commercial demands.
