Guitarist Pat Malone plays with a captivating energy that absorbs and inspires his audiences. He has a devoted following in Santa Fe, as well as in Austin and Chicago– music towns he’s lived and worked in over the years. He’s also a favorite in the studio thanks to his versatility and finesse. Along the way in his career, Malone has played with an illustrious and amazingly varied array of musicians, including Pete Christlieb (Steely Dan, Doc Severenson); Bobby Doyle (Blood, Sweat & Tears, CBS); Eric Johnson, Lonnie Mack, Kim Stone (Spyro Gyra); fusion jazz guitarist Mitch Watkins; Spencer Starnes (Asleep at the Wheel); composer/arranger/big-band-leader John Mills; honky-tonker Junior Brown; harmonica virtuoso Mike Turk; Jimmy Carl Black (Frank Zappa Mothers of Invention); and R&B saxophonist Kirk Waylum.
