Taos Children's Theater Presents Midsummer Night's Dream

  • Wildflower Playhouse 1339 Paseo Del Pueblo Sur Taos, NM, 87571 United States (map)

“My mistress with a monster is in love!” giggles the mischievous Puck as he looks upon the fairy queen Titania and the donkey-headed Bottom, reclining in her bower. Then we see gossamer gowned Titania asleep, while about skip her magical fairies we love so well, none other than Moth, Mistress Mustardseed, Peaseblossom and Cobweb. And we know magic is afoot!

Indeed, all the Shakespearan favorites appear in this comical magical adaptation of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” presented by Taos Children’s Theatre, directed by Karen Thibodeau, at the Wildflower Playhouse, this fiesta weekend, July 21  & 22, Friday & Saturday at 7pm; July 23, Sunday at 1:00pm.

Tickets are $12 adults; $10 students/seniors; $5 children 12 and under; available on line at Wildflower or at the box office. Dramatic staging promises to bring the fairies swirling through the audience. You may even be visited by one of the fairies in the midst of a magical moment. Fairy treats will be served each night.
