A FREE Community Week! Each day will feature a topic related to the Cristobal de la Serna Land Grant History, Art and Culture.

Programming will run from 4pm-6pm each day and includes immersive art projects, lectors and presentations.

Monday, May 15th - Intro to Comanche dance, history, dress and culture with El Comanche. All Participants will learn components of Comanche dress with hands on activities.

Tuesday, May 16th - Norbert LeDeux - Dancer and Musician will lead a workshop on Comanche rhythm, dance and song. Intro to Retablo Art with Guadalupe Tafoya.

Wednesday, May 17th - Continued Retablo Art with Guadalupe Tafoya. Listening Session of Comanche Archive CD.

Thursday, May 18th - El Comanche - Historian, dancer, musician and leader will guide participants through the details and history of the dress, dance and culture of Comanche Dance in Northern New Mexico.

Friday, May 19th

6pm Youth Presentation. Students from the Cristobal de la Serna After-School Program at Taos International Schools.

6:30 pm “The Genízaro Experience” a film screening and discussion with documentarian Gary Medina Cook, director, editor and producer.
