3 McIntoshes Photo Show
Michelle, Bruce & Keith McIntosh
Michelle McIntosh, her husband Bruce, and his brother Keith will exhibit photography prints. Michelle has been photographing the local landscape for the last six years. Her aunt, Los Angeles artist and photographer saw her cell phone photos on social media, and impressed with her talent, bought her a camera and underwrote the cost of printing and framing her work for her first show at Farmhouse Cafe. Keith has had interest in photography since his getting his first "Instamatic" camera as a boy. He built a darkroom in the cellar of the family home and went on to teach a photography class when he was a student at Colorado College. Some of his images were taken in the mid-1970's when he traveled in Southeast Asia. Bruce had training as a painter, and an appreciation of photography for many years, starting with admiring his Dad's photos, seeing him line up shots with a Leica his father had given him, spending time dialing in exposure and apeture settings with a separate light meter. Profits from sales will benefit Metta Theatre, which has been teaching acting and producing plays in Taos since 1996.
